Bridges

A bridge is a dental restoration that is used to replacing a missing tooth.  In order for a bridge to work, teeth must be present on either side of the gap left by the missing tooth. Crowns are placed on these teeth, which are used to support a fake tooth that fills (bridges) the gap.

Bridges are useful in restoring a bite that has been affected by missing teeth.  They also help prevent teeth surrounding a gap from moving and becoming misaligned. Your dentist can craft a bridge that matches the color of the surrounding teeth, shaped to enhance your smile even more than the teeth it replaces.
